Each night at Ft. Wilderness, Chip and Dale get together with their friends (that’s you!) for a Campfire Sing Along followed by a Disney movie. It is an absolutely FREE event that you can attend rather you are staying at Ft. Wilderness or not. The Campfire Sing Along currently begins at 7:30 pm each night. Be sure to call the front desk of Ft. Wilderness to verify the start time when your vacation begins as times are subject to change.
The program begins with a sing-along led by a Disney cast member along. There are campfires set up along the perimeter of the area where you can roast either your own personal items or you can purchase smores supplies at the Chuckwagon Snack Bar (they also sell the roasting sticks if you forgot to bring your own) located beside the campsite.
Before and during the sing-along, Chip and Dale play, interact and sing along with guests. They are so funny to watch. When we went, they were drawing pictures in the dirt and playing freeze tag.
Following the sing-along is a FREE showing of a Disney movie that changes every night.
The Campground is located beside the Meadow Trading Post at Ft. Wilderness. If you are not staying at the Ft. Wilderness, you will need to take your resort transportation to a theme park of your choice. Once you disembark at the theme park, board the transportation to Ft. Wilderness. Once you arrive at Ft. Wilderness, take the internal bus to to the Meadow Trading Post. Tip: There is a boat from Magic Kingdom to Ft. Wilderness. This is our choice of transportation as it makes the Campfire Sing-Along all that more special. There is also a bus that runs from Wilderness Lodge to Ft. Wilderness.

This is on our bucket list, the kids would love this!

Can any one go even if not staying on any Disney resort?
Cindy says
Get to the Sing-a-long by 7pm in order to enjoy the games/crafts with Chip and Dale. They leave at 7:30 for a break, then come back at 8pm for the sing along.

Our absolute FAVORITE thing to do. My family has a travel trailer and we LOVE to stay here. So many things to do at the campground for the kids. This one of the highlights of the stay.

If you have a small child that will be attending Disney for the first time this is a great way to introduce them to a few characters before going into a park. We did this with my daughter on her 2 trip to Disney. She was terrified of the Characters on her first trip and this allowed her some one on one time with Chip and Dale in a setting that was not so overwhelming. The rest of the trip she decided that she loved all the characters!

Also, it is open to anyone. You do not have to be staying at Fort Wilderness.

You do not need a park ticket to ride any of the WDW transportation options. The board/disembark outside of the park gates.

My family LOVES this! We drive all the way from Maine and bring our campers and stay right at Fort Wilderness! It’s one of the highlights when we are there because my girls think it is so cool to make s’mores and sing with Chip and Dale!

I have a sister who lives close to there, would she have to have a park ticket or could she just go to it? What do you think?
CIndy says
I don’t think she should need a ticket since it is inside the campground. I f I remember there is a parking lot in the front of the campground where you have to board a bus to get to the campfire. It would be like not going to the park and going to hoop de do review or to the buffet over by there (cannot remember it right now, forgive me just checking posts before I head to bed after working midnights) It is a good thing to do on the first day if you get there later in the day and don’t want to go to a park. Now what I do not know is if this is open to non disney resort guests, it doesn’t really say, so I am assuming that you can go regardless. We had a fun time there when we went. My boys love Chip and Dale.
